She provides leadership to ensure that boards fulfill their moral, legal and fiduciary responsibilities and provide exemplary strategic leadership. Ms. Petch is also a skilled facilitator with a successful track record of helping groups reach consensus on practical solutions to gritty issues. Ms. Petch is a member of the Board of Directors of the Fortis Group in BC which includes Terasen Inc., Terasen Gas Inc. and Fortis BC. She serves on the Board of Governors of RBC Funds and RBC Private Pools, the Phillips Hager and North Independent Review Committee and the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). She is also a member of the Board of Advisors for the Faculty of Business at the University of Victoria. Previously, she served as Chair of the Victoria Airport Authority, Chair of the Health Employers Association of British Columbia (HEABC) and on the Board of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA). She holds a Master of Arts degree in Speech Communication from California State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Speech from the University of Nebraska. She is a recipient of the Queen's Jubilee Medal, the Tourism Victoria Miracle Award, the YM-YWCA of Victoria Women of Distinction Award in Business, Professions and Entrepreneurship, and the MBA Mentor of the Year Award from the University of Victoria Faculty of Business.
